Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring and documentation of refrigerated zones (-10°F to 40°F)
- Safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts in temperature-controlled environments
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts using WMS systems
- Execute FIFO (First-In-First-Out) rotation protocols for perishable goods
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards for cold storage operations
- Conduct daily facility inspections for equipment functionality and safety hazards
- Assist with loading/unloading refrigerated trucks using proper techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 6+ months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Forklift certification (or ability to pass company certification)
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly with proper techniques
