Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated and freezer units
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to organize inventory in racking systems
- Conduct daily safety checks on equipment and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive shipments with strict adherence to HACCP protocols
- Perform inventory counts and manage stock rotation (FIFO) procedures
- Sanitize work areas and equipment using food-grade cleaning solutions
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs in digital systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipment deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Proficient with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail in documentation procedures
- Availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
