Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature conditions (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient inventory movement
- Perform quality checks and documentation for perishable goods
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols rigorously
- Assist with inventory rotation and FIFO management systems
- Sanitize equipment and storage areas daily using approved methods
- Collaborate with team on loading/unloading schedules
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in sub-zero environments for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Flexible availability including early mornings/evenings
- High school diploma or equivalent required
