Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal cold storage conditions by monitoring temperature controls and humidity levels
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to efficiently move and organize refrigerated products
- Perform quality checks on incoming/outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Implement FIFO inventory management system to prevent spoilage and waste
- Conduct routine sanitation and cleaning protocols in refrigerated areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate loading/unloading schedules
- Document inventory movements using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to OSHA and USDA regulations for food safety
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
