Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer units
- Safely load/unload perishable goods using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Conduct daily inventory counts and stock rotation using FIFO principles
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols
- Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and dock levelers
- Sanitize storage areas and equipment per company standards
- Complete accurate documentation of inventory movements
Qualifications
- Ability to work in 0°F to 40°F environments for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Valid California Driver's License preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Availability for evening/weekend shifts (3-5 days/week)
- Reliable transportation to Port of Oakland location
- No felony convictions (required for warehouse clearance)
