Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Loading and Unloading: Accurately load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly and free from damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and conduct daily pre-shift inspections.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tagging and locating stock within the warehouse.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and equipment maintenance reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (CPC or equivalent) or be willing to obtain one.
- Experience: Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven warehouse floors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including potential weekends or nights.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
