Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (electric and internal combustion) to move, stack, and organize products in the warehouse and yard areas.
- Load and unload trailers safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Accurately scan and record inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including packing and order picking.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class 1, 3, or LF/RF).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and weight verification.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions if working in the yard.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
