Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting any mechanical issues immediately
- Accurately manage inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode scanners
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including racking and storage zones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Adhere to all safety protocols including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operation experience in warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness in busy warehouse settings
- Basic computer literacy with experience in inventory tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to workplace safety
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
