Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Verify inventory accuracy by performing regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Ensure all loading docks and trailers are secured and clean before and after shifts.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Assist in organizing warehouse aisles and maintaining a neat work area.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding inventory levels and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic reading and writing skills to understand safety labels and logs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Jersey City facility.
