Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by counting stock and organizing stockrooms efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CDL Class B or equivalent certification).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory and checking work orders.
