Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments from trailers and trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and inventory accuracy by moving stock to designated storage areas using pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with speed and accuracy to meet customer deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory and operating equipment.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
