Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment
- Train and mentor part-time staff on safety protocols and efficient workflows
- Implement lean practices to optimize space utilization and reduce processing time
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Coordinate with transportation teams for timely dock scheduling and shipment dispatch
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems and conduct cycle counts
- Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain productivity targets
Qualifications
- 2+ years warehouse/supervisory experience in logistics or distribution
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make quick decisions
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Forklift certification required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
