Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, staff scheduling, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure stock accuracy through meticulous record-keeping.
- Shipping & Receiving: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipping activities, including verifying shipments and managing loading docks.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse associates, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Problem Solving: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions to streamline processes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Certification: Forklift certification (preferred but willing to train the right candidate).
- Leadership: Proven experience in team supervision and conflict resolution.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
