Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-enhanced machine learning architectures for 2026-era applications
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams of quantum physicists, AI engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop ethical frameworks for advanced AI systems operating at quantum scale
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Produce peer-reviewed publications and technical whitepapers on quantum AI convergence
- Translate theoretical quantum computing concepts into practical AI implementations
- Mentor next-generation researchers in quantum machine learning methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or AI
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of leading AI projects with $1M+ budgets
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with large-scale distributed computing architectures
- Strong background in AI ethics and responsible development practices
- Ability to secure and manage federal research grants
