Responsibilities
- Design and oversee development of fault-tolerant quantum processors with 100+ qubit coherence
- Lead research into quantum error correction algorithms for industrial-scale applications
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize cryogenic control systems and quantum interconnects
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics and optimization
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in superconducting qubit architectures and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of leading quantum computing projects with commercial outputs
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Experience securing federal grants and managing multi-million dollar research budgets
