Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in quantum system development
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 clients
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Shape company's 2026-2030 quantum roadmap with forward-looking technical strategy
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices in quantum error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Experience securing multi-million dollar research grants from NSF or DARPA
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
