Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Develop novel error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through proposal development
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2025 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
