Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM quantum conferences
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant operations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdocs in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
