Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional research teams
- Develop quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in quantum information theory or quantum machine learning
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
