Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental quantum hardware validation protocols using superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private sector partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with cloud-based quantum computing platforms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design and simulation tools
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and computational complexity
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through grant writing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems preferred
- Security clearance eligibility required
