Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for complex computational challenges
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware integration and optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quantum solutions in production systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and manage project timelines and deliverables
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and statistical analysis
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proven ability to secure research funding and manage complex projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
