Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures supporting 10,000+ qubit operations
- Develop cryogenic control systems operating at 10mK temperatures
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for commercial viability
- Integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Lead security frameworks for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Mentor cross-functional teams on quantum-computing principles
- Partner with government agencies on quantum infrastructure standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- Proven expertise in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Deep knowledge of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and dilution refrigerator systems
- Strong programming skills in Python, Qiskit, and C++ for quantum simulations
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Clearance for DOE/NIST quantum security initiatives preferred
