Responsibilities
- Architect 2D Rendering Engines: Design and implement high-performance rendering systems using the HTML5 Canvas API, SVG, and WebGL for 2D contexts.
- Optimize Visual Performance: Ensure smooth 60fps animations and interactions across all devices by optimizing rendering pipelines and minimizing repaints.
- Build Interactive Libraries: Develop reusable, component-based graphics libraries and tools to empower the wider engineering team.
- Collaborate with Design: Partner closely with UI/UX designers to translate complex visual concepts into robust, scalable code.
- Maintain Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure seamless functionality and visual fidelity across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
- Lead Code Reviews: Mentor junior developers and maintain high coding standards and best practices within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience building complex 2D web graphics and animations.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the DOM, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and HTML5 Canvas.
- Mathematics: Strong grasp of linear algebra, trigonometry, and physics required for smooth animations.
- Tools: Proficient with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and animation libraries (GSAP, Anime.js).
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks and edge-case rendering issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
