Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized materials efficiently
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and minimize downtime
- Train junior operators on safe equipment handling procedures
- Assist in warehouse layout optimization and space utilization projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and ability to obtain additional certifications
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and load balancing principles
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS)
- Excellent spatial awareness and depth perception abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
