Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environments
- Execute precise inventory management using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Coordinate cross-docking operations for maritime and rail freight
- Maintain OSHA compliance through daily equipment inspections and documentation
- Train junior staff on safety protocols and operational best practices
- Optimize loading/unloading schedules to meet port deadlines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of certified forklift operation experience in port/logistics setting
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification and current forklift operator license
- Proven ability to operate in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments
- Expertise with RF scanning technology and warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero-incident safety records
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying climate conditions
