Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in warehouse and yard environments
- Load/unload freight trucks and containers using precision techniques
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate inventory records via warehouse management systems
- Train junior operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize material flow
- Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies
- Assist with dock scheduling and freight coordination as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable forklift operation experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness skills
- Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments (refrigerated sections)
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
