Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down/stand-up) for material handling and inventory stacking
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Manage inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems
- Maintain OSHA compliance and promote a culture of workplace safety
- Coordinate with receiving/shipping teams for efficient dock operations
- Train new operators on equipment protocols and safety procedures
- Optimize warehouse layout for maximum storage efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial forklift operation experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (current or able to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
