Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-volume warehouse environments
- Load/unload shipments with precision and efficiency while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces per OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflows
- Train junior staff on proper material handling protocols
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of certified forklift operation experience
- Valid OSHA certification and current NYC forklift license
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and hazardous material handling
- Experience with RF scanners and inventory management software
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
