Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts with precision in high-volume warehouse settings
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure OSHA compliance
- Coordinate inventory management using WMS systems and RF scanners
- Train new operators on safety protocols and operational procedures
- Optimize loading/unloading processes for 53' trailers and railcars
- Implement lean principles to reduce material handling waste
- Document all activities in digital logs and safety reports
Qualifications
- OSHA forklift certification with 3+ years industrial experience
- Valid NC driver's license and clean MVR
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (SAP/JDE preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work 8-12 hour shifts
- Forklift-specific safety training (e.g., propane/electric certification)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification a plus)
