Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move pallets of goods efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate inventory records through RF scanning systems
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure OSHA compliance
- Coordinate with warehouse team for optimal loading/unloading schedules
- Implement 5S principles to maintain organized workspace
- Train new operators on safety protocols and equipment usage
- Support cross-functional teams during peak operational periods
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification with 2+ years of recent experience
- Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in varying temperatures
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
