Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts with precision to move raw materials, finished goods, and palletized inventory
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Implement strict safety protocols including proper load balancing and hazard identification
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflow efficiency
- Train junior operators on equipment operation and safety standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional forklift operation experience with OSHA certification
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License preferred
- Proficiency in operating various forklift types (electric, propane, narrow-aisle)
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification required (training provided if needed)
- Basic computer literacy for warehouse management systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
