Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load/unload shipments with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Manage inventory control systems using RF scanners and warehouse management software
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflows and productivity
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movements and operational reports
- Train new operators on safety procedures and equipment operation standards
- Support facility cleanliness and organization through 5S methodology implementation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional forklift operation experience (certification required)
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and current driver's license
- Proven ability to operate various equipment (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Basic proficiency with inventory management systems and RF scanning technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork aptitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required
