Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move pallets of goods in a 50,000 sq ft facility
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Coordinate with warehouse team to optimize inventory flow and dock schedules
- Implement OSHA safety protocols and report equipment malfunctions immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems
- Train junior operators on safe handling procedures
- Support cross-functional operations during peak shipping seasons
Qualifications
- OSHA Forklift Certification (valid or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management software
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends during peak seasons
- High school diploma or equivalent required
