Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in high-traffic warehouse environments
- Execute precise inventory control procedures using RF scanning technology
- Maintain OSHA compliance through daily equipment inspections and safety protocols
- Coordinate cross-functional material handling with shipping/receiving teams
- Train junior operators on warehouse safety standards and equipment operation
- Optimize storage space utilization and loading dock efficiency
- Generate accurate warehouse documentation and digital records
Qualifications
- OSHA-certified forklift operator license with 3+ years industrial experience
- Expertise in narrow-aisle and high-lift equipment operation
- Proven track record in inventory management systems (SAP/WMS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and DOT compliance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in temperature-controlled environments
- Valid Michigan driver's license and clean MVR
- Forklift certification renewal within 30 days of hire
