Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in fast-paced warehouse environments
- Load/unload trucks with precision using pallet jacks and material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records via warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company maintenance schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse efficiency
- Train junior operators on safety procedures and equipment operation
- Conduct pre/post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse/forklift operations
- Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in varying temperatures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license preferred
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse technology
