Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage inventory control systems with 99.8% accuracy using RF scanners and WMS software
- Optimize warehouse layouts for maximum efficiency and space utilization
- Train and mentor junior staff on safety protocols and operational procedures
- Coordinate cross-functional logistics activities with receiving, shipping, and production teams
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for workflow optimization
Qualifications
- 3+ years of material handling experience in high-volume distribution centers
- OSHA forklift certification with clean driving record
- Proficiency in WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Forklift experience with multiple equipment types (reach truck, order picker)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus
