Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment to move materials between production, storage, and shipping areas
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems and conduct regular cycle counts
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify against purchase orders
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing processes
- Implement lean principles to optimize warehouse layout and material flow efficiency
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety protocols
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with freight carriers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/material handling experience in a fast-paced environment
- Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10-hour training preferred
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics a plus
