Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments across multiple carriers and transportation modes
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, invoices) ensuring compliance with DOT/FDA regulations
- Optimize routing and carrier selection to minimize costs while meeting SLAs
- Liaise with warehouse, sales, and customs teams to resolve shipment discrepancies
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and provide proactive updates to stakeholders
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Maintain compliance with hazardous materials and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/logistics coordination with multi-modal transportation
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Descartes, MercuryGate) and MS Office Suite
- Certification in hazardous materials handling (DOT 49 CFR) preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
- Proven problem-solving skills in high-pressure shipping scenarios
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and customs clearance procedures
