Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including documentation compliance, carrier selection, and route optimization
- Manage inventory control systems with real-time tracking and reconciliation of 500+ SKUs
- Liaise with customs brokers and international partners to ensure seamless cross-border shipments
- Resolve transportation disruptions through proactive contingency planning and vendor management
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
- Mentor junior coordinators and lead special projects for major client accounts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics/shipping coordination with international exposure
- Proficiency in WMS/TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active preferred)
- Certification in supply chain management (CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM) highly desirable
- Expert knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and customs documentation requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for data analysis
- Strong problem-solving abilities with demonstrated crisis management experience
- Excellent communication skills for high-stakes stakeholder interactions
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
