Responsibilities
- Safely load/untract shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- Verify inventory accuracy and documentation against shipping manifests
- Maintain organized warehouse storage systems with FIFO protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections and report maintenance needs
- Train junior staff on operational procedures and safety standards
- Optimize loading processes to reduce turnaround time by 15%
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse loading experience in high-volume environments
- Valid OSHA forklift certification and pallet jack operation skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail with zero-error shipment verification
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Basic math and communication skills
