Responsibilities
- Safely unload and sort inbound shipments with 99.9% accuracy
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks) in compliance with OSHA standards
- Optimize warehouse space utilization through strategic pallet stacking
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain real-time inventory tracking using warehouse management systems
- Mentor junior loaders on safety protocols and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams to meet daily KPIs
- Implement lean inventory practices to minimize waste
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse loading experience in high-volume environments
- Valid forklift certification and heavy machinery expertise
- Ability to lift 70+ pounds regularly and work in extreme temperatures
- Proficiency in WMS software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Strong problem-solving skills during high-pressure situations
- DOT Hazmat certification (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental coordination
