Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities, including order processing, documentation, and carrier scheduling
- Manage inventory levels and optimize warehouse space utilization
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve transit delays
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate shipping records and generate performance reports
- Implement cost-effective shipping strategies while maintaining service standards
- Train and mentor junior staff on shipping procedures and compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or shipping coordination
- Proficiency with WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMC regulations and export documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Experience with LTL and FTL shipping arrangements
