Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the timely pickup and delivery of freight and packages.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Monitor shipment schedules and update tracking information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory movements, and damages.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
- Strong working knowledge of shipping software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license required.
