Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track shipments in real-time using transportation management systems and resolve any logistics issues or delays promptly.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments (warehouse, sales) and external carriers (trucking companies, freight forwarders).
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, costs, and inventory levels.
- Assist in the loading and unloading process when necessary to ensure cargo safety.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination (1-2 years minimum).
- Familiarity with freight software, TMS, or transportation management systems is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
