Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipment logistics across air, rail, and ground carriers
- Manage documentation compliance (BOLs, customs forms, certificates)
- Optimize load planning and warehouse dock scheduling
- Track real-time shipments and proactively resolve transit exceptions
- Collaborate with sales/customers on delivery timelines and status updates
- Analyze shipping data to reduce costs and improve delivery times
- Maintain compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in shipping coordination or freight operations
- Proficiency in TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder)
- Expertise in Incoterms 2020 and customs documentation
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers and freight forwarders
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- OSHA Hazmat certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
