Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including ocean freight, air cargo, and ground transportation
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices) ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and proactively communicate status updates to stakeholders
- Optimize shipping routes and negotiate rates with carriers to maximize cost efficiency
- Resolve logistics disruptions and troubleshoot clearance delays with customs authorities
- Maintain inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and documentation
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to prioritize loading/unloading schedules and dock efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping coordination
- Proficiency with TMS platforms (e.g., Descartes, Blue Yonder) and MS Office Suite
- Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs regulations, and hazmat protocols
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven problem-solving abilities in high-pressure shipping environments
- Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10-hour training preferred
- Associates degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
