As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be the bridge between our clients, carriers, and internal operations teams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring shipments are processed accurately and arrive on time.
Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee the daily processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory.
- Carrier Coordination: Communicate effectively with third-party logistics providers and freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Tracking & Reporting: Monitor shipment status in TMS systems, track packages in real-time, and resolve any delays or issues proactively.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and customs documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels in the warehouse and conduct cycle counts as required.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods claims, and delivery exceptions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to review data, spot errors, and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
- Bilingual: Spanish language skills are a plus given the El Paso market.
