Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments across multiple carriers, ensuring optimal routing and cost efficiency
- Manage documentation compliance including customs forms, bills of lading, and commercial invoices
- Track shipments in real-time using logistics software, proactively resolving delays and exceptions
- Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure timely loading/unloading and inventory accuracy
- Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with transportation providers
- Generate shipping reports and analyze logistics data for continuous improvement
- Maintain compliance with TSA, FDA, and other regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or freight forwarding
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle TMS, Descartes) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and international shipping protocols
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or CSCP certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
