Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes, including documentation, carrier selection, and freight scheduling
- Monitor inventory levels and implement JIT delivery protocols to minimize storage costs
- Resolve transportation discrepancies through proactive carrier communication and issue tracking
- Optimize load planning to maximize trailer utilization and reduce empty miles
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, hazmat protocols, and customs requirements
- Generate performance reports on KPIs like on-time delivery rates and cost-per-mile metrics
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to align shipping strategies with customer demand
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination or warehouse operations
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle Transportation, Blue Yonder) and WMS systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret shipping data and optimize routes
- OSHA 10-hour certification and hazmat familiarity
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in high-pressure logistics scenarios
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license and clean commercial driving record
