Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes, including order fulfillment, documentation preparation, and carrier selection
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize warehouse operations to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Liaise with freight carriers to negotiate rates, track shipments, and resolve transit delays
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping records, bills of lading, customs documentation, and compliance paperwork
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide real-time shipment updates and address client inquiries
- Implement cost-saving initiatives by analyzing shipping routes, carrier performance, and packaging efficiency
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination, warehouse operations, or freight management
- Proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret shipping data and optimize logistics workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Certification in logistics (e.g., CTL, CSCP) or hazardous materials handling a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons and manage competing priorities
